Visit to the district chakwal

Visit to the district chakwal

The visit of cholistan desert rally was amazing .I enjoyed a lot. An old friend of mine invited me to his district chakwal. So I packed my bag and headed towards the district chakwal. Chakwal was about 703 kilometre from the point where I was staying near cholistan desert. The distance was very long. It was going to take about 10 hours to reach at chakwal. The bus was going to depart at 9.00 am in the morning.

I sat on the bus and headed straight towards the district chakwal.i was really tired during the travel period. The bus was not comfortable at all. The bad part was that the bus was not even air conditioned. I was sweating a lot. While on our way met with various people. Some were wearing different dresses as per their traditions.

The bus driver was driving really fast. No one was saying anything to the bus driver. He was driving really dangerous. I stood up and requested the driver not to drive fast as it can be dangerous. In the meanwhile I was in contact with my friend Osama who was the resident of chakwal. Osama was my class fellow from the past 5 years. He himself came back to Pakistan to enjoy his summer vacations with his family members. I was in contact with him, He promised me to pick me up from the bus station of chakwal.

8 hours had passes away still 2 more hours to go.i was really tired. This was the worst experience ever. One small child was just sitting besides me. She was not feeling well. By the look of her face, i was feeling that she was going to vomit.well, this actually really did happen. She vomited. The whole bus filled with smell. Worst experience ever. I had tissues with me. I placed it on my nose so that I can not smell that.

chakwal contained almost 207 villages near by which was a lot. According to statistical data there are about 523 schools in district chakwal .In the meanwhile finally reached chakwal.I called osama. He came and picked me up from the bus stop. One thing I noticed about chakwal was that it was located in hilly areas. After a long drive from cholistan to chakwal.I was finally at home of osama.he made special food for me. Foods were biryani, kofta, ras malaie and many other sweet foods were there as well.

The food was very tasty. We talked for a while. I was really tired. He advised me to take rest because I had travelled about 703 kilometer. In the meanwhile told him to make plan for tomorrow visits to various tourist places in chakwal.

Ehtesham had great links with the management conducting the desert rally. I along with him sat on the jeep and participated in the racing contest. Although, I was just sitting behind the driver and did not do nothing. So me and ehtesham along with the driver whom was his friend. We all participated in the race. As soon as the race started. I really got scared because I had never ever experienced this type of fast driving. Luckily, the race ended and unfortunately our team had lost. It was great fun. I was feeling little sick because was not use to fast driving.

After wards, we both had lunch. I thanked Mr Ehtesham for his support and help in reaching at the destination point. This was one of the amazing moments of my life. There were camera drones flying as well for the video recording of these golden moments. It was designed in such a beautiful way. It looked very old. There were total 4 gates to this fort. Qasim gate, khizri gate, sikhi gate, hareri gate. Out of these four gates qasim gate survived other were all destroyed. This place had a long history.afterwards, I moved to a new location known as shah yousuf gardezi tomb. It was fully crowded with many people. The building structure was really amazing. Shah Gardez was an Islamic saint who came to Multan to preach many of the people. It is said that he converted many non Muslims to Muslims. It is said that he came from Afghanistan. The shrine interior is decorated with glass and it was covered in blue tile work. Afterwards, I was really hungry decided to go to resultant so that I can eat. After eating spicy foods in Multan.i planned to visit one more famous location.

The name of the location was Nigar khana. This is also consider to be tourist attraction. It is also known to be house of arts. This place if famous for 45 years because of selling handicrafts and cultural objects over 45 years. I met the person who runs this. It was getting dark and was hot.i decided to go back to the hotel.

I said no because I wanted to try take the ride of rickshaw.rickshaw is mostly used in most of the Asian countries for travelling within the city. The restaurant was very beautiful from inside. I ordered fish. It was very delicious. My tummy was really full. I enjoyed a lot there.

The next stop was visiting the famous clock tower in Faisalabad. The clock tower is one of the oldest monuments. The main importance of the clock tower is that it is standing in the center of eight markets. From bird’s eye view look like union jack flag on England. It was build in 1903.In Pakistan it is known to be “Ghanta ghar chowk”.This place was very crowded with so many peoples. This is also the center of all activities that happens in the city during elections and many other important events

The next stop that I was told to visit was the Jinnah gardens in Faisalabad. It was a big park.Although, I did not find something new here. It was like other ordinary parks. There were exercise machine as well where people were doing exercise .It is said that this was historical place for Pakistan. That’s why they name if after Quaid e azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The Jinnah garden Faisalabad.

Honestly speaking if I had to compare Faisalabad with the 2 other cities that I visited. I would prefer the other 2 cities on this city. So it was getting dark. I decided to go back to hotel. I asked my friend for the best location for tourist in Pakistan. They named many but among many there was Murrie. So next morning planned to visit murrie But in the meanwhile I called my old friend. Last day in Lahore

Last day in Lahore

I woke up early in the morning .Haroon was busy today. So I decided to go by me self and explore the city. Today was also my last day in Lahore because I had to move to the next city for exploring new things in Pakistan. This time I had a new plan. Since I was also a student of management studies. I planned to visit the best university of Lahore regarding business management. I searched on the Google. And I had found one.

The name of the university was lums.I visited lums and met with students and faculty. They told me the methodology and techniques with which they teach students and them also share their secret why their university is famous in the world and especially in Pakistan. This university was built in 1984.This university ranking is 111th out of 700 best universities. It is also ranked among the top 300 universities globally for businesses met with Pakistani students. They share their views about foreign studies and I share mine. It was really great and learnt a lot.

Afterwards. There was a park nearby sat and enjoy the greenery  of the park. Meanwhile I was planning to visit the next city. There were so many cities in Pakistan. Due to shortage of time because then I had to return back to USA.I  planned to visit the next city and that was Faisalabad.

In the meanwhile, I planned to visit one last tourist point in Lahore. That was the army museum Lahore. I visited the museum. A very wonderful place it was. Helicopters and tank was also their. It was good to see how strong Pakistan is in the field of defence. Pakistan is also a victim of terrorist. The Pakistan army had worked very hard to protect the country .They are fighting war against the terrorists. They have sacrificed a lot .Many of the people have lost their love ones in this war.

There is a great difference between Lahore and Islamabad. The traffic in Lahore is far too much greater then Islamabad. If I was to compare both cities regarding the beauty .It would be difficult for me.On the way back. I drank a cup of lassie.a famous tradition is Pakistan .It was tasty.

Our first location of visit was data darbar.data darbar is the largest sufIshrine in south Asia. This place was filled with many people. Lots of security personals were there for the safety of the people entering the shrine. Good security arrangement was seen their. It is said that about one million visitors arrive on its urs festival. This place is considered to be most sacred place in Lahore. The best part is that the shrine remains open at all hours.

It is said that the shrine is visited by approximately 30,000 to 50,000 visitors on daily bases. The best part is that there was also a metro bus service in Lahore. The service also passed by this shrine for facilitation of the people. The weather was changing .It was getting hot day by day, I was also feeling hot. Afterwards we both went to a new location known as Sozo Water Park.

I and haroon stayed in this park for 2 to 3 hours. It was really fun .after wards he took me to a famous place known as to be Wagah boarder.

Waghah boarder is the border between Pakistan and India. Everyday there is waghah boarder ceremony .The boarder is located 24 kilo meter away from Lahore .The flag ceremony is conducted by the rangers of Pakistan and the rangers of India.I had the chance to watch the ceremony as well. It was very passionate. The people of Pakistan and the people of India both were passionate during the ceremony. Both the countries relation are not so good from the day of independent that was august 14,1947.

It was getting late .so we both left and went straight to home. On our way back I had the opportunity of seeing Lahore Beijing underpass that was just constructed few days ago. It was a very big underpass about 1.3 km.It was a great underpass.

In Pakistan they called it “ Halwa poorie”.I got to admit. It was very delicious. I had never eaten such type of breakfast before. After that ,he named the famous tourist location in Lahore. There were so many. I was so shocked to see so many names of the tourist points in Lahore.

One thing that I noticed in Lahore was the use of motor cycles. Massive amount of motor cycles were on road. People were using motor bikes more as compare to cars. So we started out first tourist location .that was the Lahore zoo. So me and haroon we were also on the motor bike. Due to massive traffic, the motor cycle was a good option to choose for travelling as it can save time .

Lahore zoo was really amazing place to visit. This zoo was one of the largest zoo in the south Asia. There were about 1378 animals of 135 species. One good information of this zoo was that it was forth oldest zoo in the world.Monkeys, chimpanzee, lion and all sort of animal types were their.SUZI the elephant was also present their. A very famous elephant name in Pakistan. We stayed there for a while and then we moved to the next tourist spot.

The next visit was going towards Minar Pakistan. I was very much impressed to see that. A very historical place for the people of Pakistan. This place was fully crowded with people and most of the tourist visit this place as it is considered to be the tourist point. Minar Pakistan was actually national monument. The tower is very old. It was constructed in 1960.The total height of the minar was about 70 meters above the ground level. This is a lot. I was also shocked to hear that it took about 8 years in completing minar Pakistan. It is also consider to be tower of Pakistan

After that ,just nearby there was a famous mosque knows as badshahi mosque Lahore was amazed to see this mosque. It was huge and big. This mosque was considered to be one of the Lahore’s most iconic landmarks. The mosque was built by mughal emperor. The mosque was built in 1671.It was a very wonderful place .We stayed there for a while and offer prayer in the mosque. The mosque was neat and clean. Almost 56000 people can offer namaz at a time in the mosque.

As soon as we got out of badshahi mosuq.Just beside it was the Lahore fort. We both also visited Lahore fort. Haroon briefed me everything about the Lahore fort. This fort was also very old. This was also made in the era of mughal emperors. The walls were very old. Very nice art work was performed on the wall. There was also sheesh mahal. It was decorated with white marble pavilion decorated with frescoes and complex mirror. There were many places inside the Lahore fort. Just visited few of them because I got really tired. There were also many large and huge gates .Such gates I have seen in movies. But I was happy to see them in within Lahore fort.

It was getting dark. We both were hungry before doing home; we decided to eat dinner here. Luckily the food street was just nearby, there were many hotels, and we eat dinner at haveli restaurant. From we were on the top floor. From their badshahi mosque was just near us. A very beautiful view at night time.afterwards,we headed straight to home.

Trip to Lahore

Trip to Lahore

I was very excited of going to the new city of Pakistan Lahore is the second largest city of Pakistan. A very famous city of Pakistan. I packed my bag and everything .checked out of hotel. And went straight to the Daewoo terminal. During my travel to Daewoo terminal. Very beautiful building came on my way. I was amazed to see Pakistan progressing this much in construction field and other.

I reached Daewoo terminal. It took me about 1.5 hours to reach the terminal. The terminal was very nice and clean. I stood in the line and purchase the ticket. The ticket was about 900 rupees approximately 8 dollars. The passengers entered the bus and sat on their seats. The bus left about 11.00 am. In the meanwhile, I informed my friend about the timing of the bus and all so that he can reach their to pick me up.

The bus left about 11.00 am. I was told that it will take approximately 4 hours 30 minutes to reach the city Lahore. The distance was about 376 km to cover. The motorway was a carpeted road. In the meanwhile while travelling. I saw many sign boards of various cities, districts such as sheikupura, kot sarwar, salem, lila.kot momin and much more. After 3 hours the bus stopped at a terminal for 20 minutes break.

I was very tired of sitting. So during those 20 minutes saw McDonald’s. And I quickly went in McDonald and order meal. I was hungry and satisfied my hunger by eating a chicken burger along with coke. After eating, I sat on the bus and then bus left and reached Lahore about 3.50 pm.

I was very shocked when reaching Lahore because it was totally different from Islamabad. It was very crowd with many people. Traffic was too much .My friend asad was waiting for me. I met him at Lahore terminal. After that, we headed straight to his home. It took us about 2 hours in reaching his home because the traffic was too much. We were stuck in traffic for long duration. Otherwise it would have taken only 30 minutes in reaching his home if the traffic was in normal routine.

Last day in Islamabad

 Last day in Islamabad

I woke up early in the morning. I contacted my friend. He was in Living in Lahore. He invited me to his home. I told him that I will come to him tomorrow. I asked him the best places to visit in Islamabad. He told me to visit Daman-e-Koh. He also told me that this is one of the best places in Pakistan.

I packed my bags and started my journey to that place. In the meanwhile, it started raining. The way going to daman-e-koh was little scary because it was located at a height.from their almost not all but one forth of Islamabad and Rawalpindi can be viewed.Rawalpindi is also neighbour cities of Islamabad.

It took me about 2 hours to reach their. It was a rainy weather. I was really shocked and amazed to view the landscape and the height it was. It was just amazing. Someone told me that this place was located in the middle of margala hills. The place where i was standing about was 2400 Fr from sea level and almost 500 ft from the city of Islamabad.

This place was consider to the tourist point of Islamabad’s was very happy to see the top view of Islamabad city. I was also happy to see Faisal mosque from here because I had visited over their yesterday. The best part was that there were telescope also for viewing objects at far end. I used the telescope for exploring very beautiful places in Islamabad. There were also peacocks in daman e koh.

I stayed here for a while and then I planned to visit Rawal Lake. It took me a while reaching their. In the meanwhile, the rain stopped and the weather was clear and sunny. I gathered lots of information regarding Rawal Lake. People were friendly. They also guided me .Rawal lake is an artificial reservoir that provides water needs for the cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The area was very greenery.

There were many picnic spots over their. Many families were gathered along with their children for picnic. There were also private clubs that arranged the facility of boating, sailing, water skating and much more. I also took a ride on the boat. It was very cheap. It was about half a dollar for one hour. I was very tired because you needed the support of your legs to paddle and move the boat. It was fun. Beautiful birds were also there.

Majority of the birds were found in this place. It was very interesting. I was feeling very fresh when visiting Rawal Lake. The place and the environment were very clean. Then I headed straight to the hotel. I packed my bag so that I can be ready for my next visit to Lahore. Although I did not visit whole Islamabad due to shortage of time.
